John joined Memphis Capital in 2023 following a distinguished 30+ year career with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in Washington, D.C. His prior service includes over ten years as Division Chief of the Secondary Market for SBA’s 7(a) and 504 loan programs. He has technical expertise in SBA small business lending and investor engagement focused on the effective use of government-guaranteed securities in a fixed income strategy. John provides clients with insight necessary for successful execution of SBA loan and pool payment purchases and payment oversight. John advises staff and firm clients on SBA Secondary Market program opportunities and facilitates third-party resources on the securitization of unguaranteed SBA loan interests. He is a member of the Secondary Market Summit Hall of Fame and makes his home in Grand Haven, Michigan.
