Sandy Berlin, CPA (inactive), is a Senior Financial Strategist at Memphis Capital with over 40 years of experience in fixed income investments and strategies. He launched his career in 1983 with a regional broker/dealer, where he managed operations before expanding into investment strategies, asset/liability management, and portfolio accounting for institutional clients. After a decade, Sandy joined Amsouth Bank’s (now Regions Bank) Capital Markets Division, working as an investment strategist for community banks.
Sandy’s extensive career continued at Vining-Sparks (now Stifel Financial), where he spent 25 years supporting financial institutions with investment strategies, asset/liability management, and the trading of loan products and fixed income investments. Throughout his career, he has presented ALM seminars at regional and national banking conferences and taught asset/liability simulation classes for ICBA Securities at the Vanderbilt School of Banking.
At Memphis Capital, Sandy works with a national client base of community banks, providing tailored investment strategies, loan products, and fixed income solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, with additional studies in finance and economics from the University of Memphis. Sandy is a Certified Public Accountant and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
